Our journey into entrepreneurship began in 2015 while I was still in college. With a demanding schedule, I needed a flexible way to earn income—and music had always been my outlet. Friends often asked me to make playlists for their gatherings because I had a knack for reading the vibe and picking the perfect songs. That’s when it clicked—DJing could be more than a hobby; it could be a way to create unforgettable moments for others.

What started as a few small events quickly grew into something bigger. Over the years, I learned two important things about weddings:

1. They can be stressful.

2. Every couple wants their day to feel unique and personal.

As a DJ, my goal has always been to take the stress out of the day so couples can simply enjoy it. I don’t just play music—I help shape the atmosphere, creating moments where guests feel connected and the couple can truly celebrate their love story.

As our business grew, expanding into photo booths felt like a natural step. It allowed us to give couples even more ways to capture memories and add an interactive, fun element that guests of all ages enjoy.

Today, my wife and I run The Modern Capture together, proudly serving Portland and the surrounding areas. With her organizational skills, creativity, and eye for detail, we make sure every event runs smoothly from start to finish.

With my background in healthcare, I bring a strong sense of responsibility, trust, and care into every part of what we do. And together, we treat every wedding as if it were our own—because we know how meaningful these moments are.
